Helen M. Bartley, age 86, of Louisville, KY, passed away Monday, (November 27, 2023) in Louisville.

She was born on March 7, 1937, in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late Carl and Stella Constant Wilson.

She worked as a shift manager at White Castle. She enjoyed gardening, yard work, especially working with her flowers, and bird watching. She loved her pet dogs and cats. She and her late husband, Joseph Bartley, who passed away in 2008, were married on December 15, 1978. She was of the Church of God faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Schroer, and sons, Jeffery C. Patterson and Terry E. Patterson; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, James Wilson; sister, Mary Tucker; and several nieces and nephews.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Bartley; sons, Larry C. Patterson and Gregory K. Patterson; and sister, Mildred Smith.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, (December 5, 2023) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Dr. Kenneth Green will be officiating. Burial will be in the Duff Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
