Herbert Decker, age 90, of Millwood, KY, passed away Saturday, (June 07, 2025) at Bluegrass Assisted Living in Elizabethtown, KY.

He was born on November 26, 1934 in Breckinridge County, KY, the son of the late Leslie and Mallie Geary Decker.

He was a mechanic at P. Lorillard for 33 years and was a veteran of the Korean War. He enjoyed working on cars and lawn mowers, traveling, and was known to never say no to a good bowl of ice cream. He was a member of the Christian faith.

He is survived by his daughter, Sharon Edgley (Brett) of Fort Valley, Georgia; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren; a daughter-in-law, Evelyn Decker;  a brother, Harrison Decker; a sister, Alice Decker and a step-son, Paul Tomes.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Debbie Yates; a son, Wayne Decker; two brothers, George & Roosevelt Decker; and seven sisters, Ora Travis, Mary Mudd, Mildred Nash, Aline Cummings, Fannie Mudd, Sarah Stinson, and an infant sister Maybelle Decker.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, (June 13, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Wilson Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
