Herbert Ronald Hartlage, age 85, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Tuesday, (September 14, 2021) at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on February 16, 1936 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Paul Herbert and Effie Pearl Adamson Hartlage.

He was a mechanic who enjoyed sports, drag racing, fishing, hunting, making repairs on everything and working on cars. He graduated from Male High School in Louisville. In 1956 he was on the All American Basketball Team and on the Male High School Basketball Team when they won the KY State Basketball Championship.

He is survived by his children, Kirk Hartlage (Tammy) and their family, Daniel, Joey, Chris, Anthony, Sarah, Kirk, Jr., Ashley, Miranda and Ryan; Danny Hartlage (Tina) and their family, Stacey, (Jonathan), Daniel Jr. (Holly), Madison, Gracie and Brooklyn; Kimberly Hartlage, Shawn Hartlage and family, Paul and Tommy; Carrie Hartlage and Sarah; James Hartlage (Joyce) and their family, Kaitlin, Josh, Christy, Brandon, Maverick and Grayson. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lindy Dahl Hartlage, his grandson, Jason Hartlage (son of Danny and Tina) and his sister, Bonnie Hunter.

Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, (September 21, 2021) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Curtis Decker will be officiating. Burial will be in the Rest Haven Cemetery 4400 Bardstown Road, Louisville, KY on Friday September 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. EST, noon CST.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday until time of service.
