Herman G. Daniel, age 92, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (July 01, 2026) at Owensboro Health Twin Lakes in Leitchfield.

He was born on August 09, 1933 in Olaton, KY, the son of the late James and Myrtle Duncan Daniel.

He was a retired supervisor with Chevron Oil who enjoyed training, breaking and riding horses, roping, and hunting. A former Golden Glove boxer, Herman was a member of the Church of God of Prophecy.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Cheryl Daniel (John) & Vicki Regenauer (Dave) both of Leitchfield; six great-grandchildren, Mercedes, Christian, Mariah, Tyler, Brennen & Makenzie; 12 great-great grandchildren; and two brothers, David Daniel (Polly) of Louisville and Clifford Daniel of Leitchfield. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 70 years, Arvaleen Ruth Daniel, his son, Jerry Daniel; and six brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (July 04, 2026) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Roy Smith will be officiating. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
