Jarleen Hope Jackson, age 91, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, March 21, 2018, at Hardin Memorial Hospital, surrounded by her family.

Born on January 27, 1927, in Johnson County, KY, she was the eldest daughter of the late Samuel Normon and Eulah LeMaster Stapleton.

Hope was a homemaker who enjoyed quilting, crocheting, canning, baking and spending time with her family. She loved growing flowers and was especially known for her violets. A member of Smalls Grove Church, she taught Sunday school for many years.

She is survived by her son, Garry Jackson (Bridget) of Leitchfield; four grandchildren, Lacey Jackson Bowen (Ben) of Bowling Green, Lydia Beth Jackson, Samuel Garrett Jackson and Benjamin Louis Jackson; brother, Dorsey Stapleton (Fayetta) of Elizabethtown and sister, JoNell Bunnell (Jim) of Glasgow; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Louis Sherman Jackson, and brother, Bueford Stapleton.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm Sunday followed by a graveside service at Layman Memorial Cemetery. Bro. Buddy Brooks will be officiating.
