Hubert "Moody" Kiper Sr., age 92, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (July 6, 2009) at the Grayson Manor Nursing Home in Leitchfield.

He was born on March 27, 1917, in Grayson County KY, the son of Charlie and Ethel Bruce Kiper. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Calvert Church.

He is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Willis (Vernie) of Leitchfield, five sons, Hubert Jr. (Betty), Otis (Nancy) and Charlie Kiper (Debbie) all of Leitchfield, and Bobby (Joyce) and Larry Kiper (Sylvia) both of Hardinsburg, KY, thirteen grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Mae Kiper, a grandson, Barry Gene Kiper, a great grandson, Christopher Kiper, four brothers and two sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday (July 9, 2009) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros. Ron Miller and Billy Mason will be officiating. Burial will be in the Calvert Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday and from 9:00 a.m. Thursday until time of services.
