Illa Lucille Jaggers, age 85, of Pooler, GA, formerly of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (September 8, 2008) in Georgia.
She was born on November 10, 1922, in Russellville AL, the daughter of Robert and Mary Fishers Chambers. She was a housewife and a member of the Anneta United Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia Hodges (Harry) of Pooler, four sons, Don (Tootsie) and Ricky (Barb) both of Leitchfield, Terry (Donna Jane) of St. Paul, KY and Barry Jaggers of Elizabethtown, KY, one brother, Russell Chambers of Tennessee two sisters, Jean Spencer of North Carolina and Opal Slaughter of Louisville, KY, 35 grandchildren and several great and great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold, five children, Danny, David, Freddie and Teddy Jaggers and Gilda Riley, five brothers and sisters, Tom, Otis and Mathel Chambers, Vessie Vincent and Hazel Lindsey.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday (September 12, 2008) at the Anneta United Baptist Church in Anneta. Bros. Jerry and Billy Vincent will be officiating. Burial will be in the Anneta Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and at the Anneta Church from 10:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
