Imogene Tidwell, age 88, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Thursday, (December 29, 2021) at University of Louisville Hospital.

She was born on March 3, 1933 in Pine Knob, KY, to the late Fred and Rocie Woosley Shain.

She retired from Caneyville Bank, working as an assistant bookkeeper for 50 years. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, working in flowers and walking daily. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of Barren County Primitive Baptist Church.

She is survived by her daughters, Eugenia Elmore (Jeff) and Georganne Clark (Anthony) all of Caneyville; grandchildren, Jessica, Sarah, Ashlyn, Dana, Mattie, Kevin, Phoebe; and five great-grandchildren, Marty, Brooklyn, Riley, Braxton and Paris.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Tidwell; son, George Martin Tidwell; granddaughter, Megan Dianne Clark; and brother, Eugene Shain.

Graveside services will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, (January 1, 2022) at Layman Cemetery. Elder Dwight Dyer will be officiating. Burial will follow.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. on Saturday until time to depart for the graveside service.
