Ina Williams Fulkerson, age 92, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (January 22, 2024) in Leitchfield.

She was born on June 1, 1931 in Grayson County, KY, the daughter of the late Carlie and Ruby Downs Williams.

Ina was an educator and also worked as an administrator in the Grayson County School System for 41 years. She was a member of the KY Retired Teachers Association. She was office manager for her daughter's medical office for 27 years. She took the H & R Block Tax course and worked filing taxes. Ina taught GED classes at the the Grayson County Detention Center.  She also volunteered as a case manager at the local hospital.  She loved mowing with her zero-turn mower and working in the yard. She married her late husband, Harlie Fulkerson, on October 8, 1955.  She was a member of Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church for 80 years.

She is survived by her daughter, Dr. Gay Fulkerson of Leitchfield; niece, Rita Carol Miller; cousin, Ronella Bobby Taylor; sister-in-law, Effie Fulkerson; and her beloved cat, Kellie.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harlie Fulkerson; and her two sons, Jay Fulkerson and Ray Fulkerson.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (January 27, 2024) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Little Flock Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
