Obituary
Irene Johnson, age 61, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (March 31, 2012) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, Kentucky.
She was born on January 24, 1951, in Shrewsbury, Kentucky, the daughter of the late William and Gracie Whobrey Hack. She was a housewife, and was a member of the Harvest Time Apostolic Church. She enjoyed growing flowers, making crafts, sewing, and cooking.
She is survived by one son, Dustin Johnson of Leitchfield; one daughter, Kimberly Miller (Sherman) of Clarkson; three brothers, Bobby and Willie Hack of Shrewsbury, and Ernest Hack; four sisters, Goldie and Jewel of Leitchfield, Dorothy of IN, and Pearl of Caneyville; and two grandchildren, Nicholas and Gracie Miller.
Other than parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Phillip Dale Johnson, one sister, Lillie, and one infant brother, Denny Hack.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday (April 3, 2012) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Lendon Robertson will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Harmony Church Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday (April 2, 2012) and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
