Jack Morrison Kennison, age 79, of Millwood, KY, passed away Thursday, (April 28, 2011) at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on February 2, 1932, in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Ruby Mae Roof and step-father John Roof. He was a construction worker, and attended McGrew General Baptist Church.

He is survived by four nieces, Ruby Kiper (Kenny) of Illinois, Vickie Brooks (John) of Morgantown, Mary Hayes of Millwood, and Nedra Kiper of South Dakota; five sisters, Sally Johnson of Greenville, Ruthie Johnson of Caneyville, Lois Suman of Clarkson, Doris Decker and Zonia Roof both of Leitchfield; one step-brother Johnny Roof of Big Clifty; one step-sister Elsie Lindsey of Big Clifty; four great-nieces, Eveonda Johnson and Caroline Brooks (Dwight) of Illinois, Shayla Brooks of Morgantown, and Denisha Kiper of Millwood; four great nephews, Timothy Stevenson (Teresa) of Arizona, Johnny Brooks of Morgantown, AJ Hayes (Keri), and Bradley Hayes (Brittany) all of Leitchfield; and eleven great-great-nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Ruby Mae Roof, one sister Hazel Kiper, one brother Dennie Roof, and several step brothers and step sisters.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday (May 2, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Charlie Smith will be officiating. Burial will be in the Claggett Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
