Jack Thomas Pearl, age 72, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (January 10, 2013) at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.
He was born on May 31, 1940 in Jefferson Co., KY, the son of the late Charlie and Ethyl Haycraft Pearl.
He was a retired heavy equipment operator, who enjoyed hunting, fishing and trap shooting. He was a member of the International Union of Operating Engineers, a member of the NRA, and was a member of the Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Carman Pearl, one son, Charles Pearl (Becki) of Leitchfield, one daughter, Lisa Pearl-Roark of Clarkson, KY, two grandchildren, Danielle and Jonah Roark, two step-grandchildren, Thomas Jarboe and Jessi Logsdon (Chad) and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Michael Scott Pearl.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, (January 13, 2013) at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro J H Manion will be officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
