Obituary
Ollen Jack Tomes, age 86, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Friday (July 20, 2007) at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.
Jack was born on July 20, 1921 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late William Elbert and Ella Mae Cockriel Tomes. He was a member of Spring Lick General Baptist Church.
Jack is survived by five sons, John, Jerry, James and Joseph all of Caneyville and Jackie Tomes of Falls of Rough, KY, one daughter, Margaret Higgs of Caneyville, one sister, Lizzie Hoots of Louisville KY, fourteen grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday (July 24, 2007) at 11:00 AM at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville. Bro. David King will be officiating. Interment is in the Wilson Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Sunday, from 9:00 AM until 9:00 PM Monday and after 9:00 AM Tuesday until time of service.
