Obituary
Jackie Wayne Dowell, age 77, of Leitchfield, KY, passed Sunday (November 21, 2010) at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.
He was born September 4, 1933, in Ohio County, KY, the son of the late Nokie J. and Catherine Cooper Dowell. He was a retired maintenance foreman for the LTV Steel Mill in East Chicago, IN and was a member of the Garfield Masonic Lodge # 569 in Highland IN.
He is survived by two daughters, Angela K. Morenz and her husband, Brian, of Indiana, Amy E. Burton and her husband, Jimmy of North Carolina, three brothers, Charles Ray Dowell of Indiana, James Russell Dowell and Michael Lynn Dowell both of Ohio County, three grandchildren, William and Kerrie Morenz and Jackie Burton. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Martha, one sister, Linda Sue, three brothers, J.C., Ronnie and Phillip Dowell.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (November 24, 2010) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield with burial in the Warren Cemetery in Butler County.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday (November 23, 2010)
