Jacob Nathaniel Skaggs, age 27, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (April 26, 2016) at his home.
He was born on September 20, 1988 in Elizabethtown, KY, the son of Jerry Skaggs and Valeria Hayes Hicks.
He was a Computer Tech for the Warren County School System, who enjoyed fishing, fantasy football, UK basketball and being with his family and was a member of Little Clifty United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Ashley Williams Skaggs, his son, Cruz Phoenix Skaggs, his father, Jerry Skaggs of Big Clifty, KY, his mother, Valeria Hicks (Larry) of Big Clifty, one sister, Jennifer Wheat (Nick) of Bowling Green, KY, one brother, Jerrad Skaggs of Leitchfield, his grandfather, Harlin Hayes of Big Clifty, his step-brothers, David, Zain and Jason Hicks, his step-sisters, Sarah Gillum, and Racquel Brown, his nieces and nephews, Kihya J Skaggs, Mackenzie, Kaden and Kolson Durbin and Stealth Williams also survives.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Betty Hayes and his paternal grandparents, Chester and Ollie Powell
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (April 30, 2016) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bros. Johnny Long and Wayne Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Little Clifty Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Cruz Skaggs trust fund at the Fort Knox Federal Savings and Loan.
