James Holt Cook, age 59, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Friday, (November 5, 2021) at his home in Leitchfield.

He was born on August 6, 1962 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Edward Cook and Dena Willoughby Webb.

He worked in the lumber industry and enjoyed playing guitar.

He is survived by four sons, Billy Hall (Martha) of Old Hickory TN, James Markle (Bobbi) of Clay County, WV, Travis Cook (Judy) of Vadis, WV, & Justin Cook (Cassandra) of Hillsboro, OH; a daughter, Elizabeth Cook of Weston, WV; 17 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Bo Cook; and a sister, Debbie Cook.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen and burial will take place at a later date in Yeaman Cemetery.
