Obituary

James Allen (Jim) Henderson, 48, passed away January 25, 2010 at his home in Clarkson, Kentucky.
He was born March 13, 1961 in St. Paul, Minnesota, the son of Jack Henderson and the late JoAnne Henderson. He grew up in Ashland, Wisconsin on the shore of Lake Superior. He became a Christian while serving in the United States Army as a sergeant in the armor division, and later graduated from Western Kentucky University. In 1987, he married JoNell Hackley and began his business career in Texas with Texas Instruments. The family later returned to Grayson County, Kentucky to raise their family while Jim continued his career in Louisville. In 1999, Jim co-founded the computer software company TelaPoint in Louisville.
As a member and deacon of Clarkson Baptist Church, Jim served passionately served on the Building Committee during the church's construction and relocation in 2000. Though the list of Jim's contributions and achievements could be long, the only thing he truly wanted people to know was his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Jim is survived by his wife, JoNell Hackley Henderson, and two sons, Alexander Clay and Jackson Boyd, all of the Rock Creek community (Clarkson); his father Jack, of Ashland, Wisconsin; sister, Jill Stelter of Osceola, Wisconsin; brother, Jerry Henderson (Diana) of Ashland, Wisconsin; ten nieces and nephews; in-laws, Russell and Pat Hackley; and sisters-in-law Alison Hackley of Clarkson, and Mildred Ward (Jamie) of Bowling Green. He was preceded in death by his mother, JoAnne Henderson.
Visitation is at Dermitt's Funeral Home, Leitchfield, Kentucky, from 1 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27 and at Clarkson Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until time of service. The memorial and funeral service will be at Clarkson Baptist Church at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 28, followed by burial at Rock Creek Cemetery.
The family requests expressions of sympathy be made in Jim's honor in the form of contributions to the Clarkson Baptist Church Building Fund, 5115 Elizabethtown Road, Clarkson. KY 42726.
