James E Hogan, age 80, of Big Clifty, KY, passed away Friday, (November 23, 2012) at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown Kentucky.
He was born on November 6, 1932 in Barren County, KY, the son of the late John Lewis and Eula Roller Hogan.
He was a retired electrician assistant, who enjoyed working in the yard and fishing. He was a member of the Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Sybil Miller Hogan, two daughters, Cheryl Faye Saunders (Donald) and Tammy Jean Kotheimer (Tony) both of Mt. Washington KY, a son, James E Hogan Jr. of Louisville, KY, two sisters, Aline VanMeter of Bloomington IN and Linda Davenport of Louisville, seven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, (November 26, 2012) at Little Flock Missionary Baptist Church. Bro Hank Gibson and Bro. Terry Priddy will be officiating. Burial will be in the Little Flock Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday and at the church from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
