Obituary
James A. Houchin, age 71, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Monday, (October 05, 2009) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.
He was born on June 18, 1938, in Grayson County, KY, the son of Hershal Allen and Thelma Grace Lasley Houchin.
He is survived by one daughter, Nedra Dennis (Ray) of Louisville; four sons, Jimmy Houchin (Peggy) of Clarkson, David Houchin (Angie) of Anneta, Bobby Houchin (Michelle) of Indiana, and Joe Houchin (Leslie) of Leitchfield; ten grandchildren, and fourteen great grandchildren. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his step father, Robert Lee Hayes, one brother, Aaron, and one granddaughter, Sarah Houchin .
Cremation was chosen.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday at 3:00 p.m. (October 7, 2009) at the McGrew Baptist Church in Anneta. Bro. Charlie Smith will be officiating. The Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield is in charge of the arrangements.
Expressions of sympathy can take the form of donations to the James Allen Houchin Memorial Fund in care of the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. .
