James Lynnville Polk Sr., age 66, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Monday, (August 10, 2020) at his residence.

He was born on May 29, 1954 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late James Marion and Nateile Litsey Polk.

He was a former truck driver who enjoyed playing guitar, horse-back riding, and loved his dogs.

He is survived by two sons, James Polk Jr. (Jennifer) of Jeffersonville, IN, and Chris Hamilton of Louisville, KY; two daughters, Lisa Lucas (Tommy) of Shepherdsville, KY, and Julie Tyrell (Rob) of Louisville, KY; one uncle, Kevin Bruce of Leitchfield, KY; one brother, Danny Fowler (Denise) of Magnolia, KY; six grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Larry Polk and Layman Decker.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen.
