Obituary

James R. Camp "Bud", age 93, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (April 3, 2018) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center.

He was born on June 19, 1924 in Covington, KY, the son of the late James R. Camp I and Florence Perkins Camp.

He was a state auditor for Kentucky, and a park manager at Rough River State Park, who enjoyed being a member of the Elks Club of Hopkinsville, watching news on television, especially CNN, and visiting with his family. He was a KY Colonel and an Air Force Veteran.

He is survived by his children, Jim Camp (Susie), Greg Camp (Dottie) all of Cloverport, Ruth Basham (Dean) of Leitchfield, Mike Camp (Jenny) of Falls of Rough, and Molly Dudgeon (Randy) of Leitchfield; twelve grandchildren, and twenty-seven great-grandchildren; aunt, Ruth Porter of Elkton; and two nephews, Bobby and Phillip Ferguson.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Elliott Camp and son, Mark Camp.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, (April 7, 2018) at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Axtel. Rev. Tony Stevenson will be officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services at the church.
