Obituary
James A. Rice, age 102, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Tuesday, (March 31, 2009) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on July 10, 1906, in Horse Branch KY, the son of Cicero and Carlina (Bean) Rice. He was a retired railroad dispatcher, and a WWII Army veteran. He was a member of the Leitchfield United Methodist Church.
He is survived by a step-daughter; Sharon Lorenz (Paul) of Louisville, two step- grandchildren; Jennifer Lichtefeld (Mark) and Loren Lichtefeld both of Louisville, and one niece; Ida Lyons of Shelbyville. He was preceded in death by his wife Doris Allen Rice.
Cremation was chosen.
Memorial services will be Saturday at 3:00 p.m. (April 04, 2009) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 12:00 p.m. on Saturday until time of services.
