Obituary
James Raymond Scheidell, Sr., age 79, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Tuesday, (January 14, 2014) at the Hardin Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown, KY.
He was born on June 20, 1934 in Louisville, KY, the son of the late Raymond Joseph and Lorraine Mattingly Scheidell.
He was a retired mechanic from Phillip Morris Tobacco Company. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and playing Bingo. He attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Leitchfield. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Falls of Rough. He and his wife, Lois Jean Fitzgerald Scheidell were married 60 years.
He is survived by his wife, Lois Jean Scheidell, three sons, Jimmy, and his wife, Alice, and Billy, and his wife, Terri, all of Falls of Rough, and Chris Scheidell of Louisville; three daughters, Margie Bloyd and Rose Greene, of Falls of Rough, and Cindy Sturgeon and her husband, Jim of Louisville; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Kay Marie Adams and Barbara Ann Pierce.
Cremation was chosen.
Memorial services will be at 3:00 p.m. CST, Saturday, (January 18, 2014) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Harting will be officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. (noon) CST, Saturday until time of service.
