Janice Pearl Hack, age 77, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (January 12, 2017) at Springview Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield.
She was born on April 22, 1939 in Caneyville, KY, the daughter of the late Elmer and Eurtie Pruitt Cooper.
She was a sewing machine operator who enjoyed playing the piano and the dulcimer, and was a member of Short Creek United Missionary Baptist Church.
She is survived by a sister, Patty Harris (Ernie) of Leitchfield, and a nephew, Patrick Harris (Joy) also of Leitchfield.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Hack; her paternal grandparents, Claude and Cora Cooper; and her maternal grandparents, Les and Martha Pruitt.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (January 14, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Mark Claypool will be officiating. Burial will be in the Layman Memorial Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
