Janice Day King, age 65, of Hudson, KY, passed away Wednesday, (March 20, 2013) at the Breckinridge County Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg KY.
She was born on October 17, 1947 in Louisville, KY, the daughter of the late Charles and Harriette Eleanor Stahl McFarlan.
She was a housewife, who enjoyed sewing and cooking. She was a member of the Potters Hope Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Monica Houchens (James) of Hudson, two grandchildren, Matthew and Charles Yadon, a step grandchild, Darren Houchens, her brother, Ronald McFarlan (Betty) and a sister, Sue Judd (Donnie) both of Louisville, KY, two step-sons, Todd King of Georgia and Chip King of Tennessee.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles King, a step-brother, Carl Morris Jr.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, (March 23, 2013) at Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro Wayne Clemons will be officiating. Burial will be in the Hudson Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
