Jean M. Japhet, 74 , of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (March 24, 2011) at Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield KY.
She was born on August 25, 1936 in Upper Lisle, New York, the daughter of the late Harry and Laura Councilman Porter . She enjoyed playing bingo.
She is survived by , 2 granddaughters, Jessica Wood of Virginia and Tamra Robertson of North Carolina, a sister, Carol Letterman of Georgia, 3 sisters-in-law, Barbara Wheeler of Big Clifty, KY, Elanore Wiliford of Richmond, VA, Shirley Roach of Florida, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond in 1976.
There will be no services at Dermitt Funeral Home, cremation was chosen.
