Jerry Edward Carroll, age 75, of Big Clifty, KY, passed away Thursday, (February 8, 2024) at his residence.

He was born on June 2, 1948 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Edward and Agnes Saltsman Carroll.

He worked in maintenance at Cracker Barrel for 30 years. He loved playing the lottery, reading, and growing tomato plants. He liked to watch Wheel of Fortune; history channels about anything history, and shows about UFOS and Aliens. Christmas was his favorite holiday because he enjoyed giving to others. He graduated from Leitchfield High School in 1968. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He married his wife, Becky Thomas Carroll on June 2, 1972. He was a firm believer in a higher power.

He is survived by his wife, Becky Carroll of Big Clifty; daughter, Andrea Langley and son, Chris Carroll; two grandchildren, Alex Deyo (Brad), and Sarah Milliner (Riley), five great-grandchildren, Gracie, Jordyn, Preston, Kiedis, and Kolter; two sisters, Linda Hack and Dottie Camp (Greg); one brother, Kelly Carroll; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews; and aunt, Betty Haycraft.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will receive friends for a visitation on Tuesday (February 13, 2024) from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Cremation will follow under the direction of the Dermitt Funeral Home.
