Jerry Earl Delacey, 78, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Sunday, (July 19, 2020) in Norton's Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on August 1, 1941 in Owensboro, KY, the son of the late Allen and Alma Elliott Delacey.

He worked at Owensboro Municipal Utilities.  He was a veteran of United States Air Force. He enjoyed fishing, coloring, art, gardening, building model cars, watching UK Basketball, riding his four-wheeler, mowing and spending time with his grandchildren. He also enjoyed actively reading his bible and loved to watch online services of the Bowling Green Baptist Church. He was also a member of Whitesville Baptist Church.

He is survived by his two daughters Laura Wilson (Carlton) of Clarkson, Kentucky and Toni Warren (Tim) of Culpeper,Virginia; 3 grandchildren, Nathan Delacey (Tina) of Leitchfield, Zakerey Wilson of Clarkson, and Emily Calabrese of Culpeper, Virginia; 8 adopted grandchildren, Justin Delacey, Kaya Foran, Alix, Stephanie, and Jessica Burbank, Rosie Griffin, Joshua and Latasha Hall, and several more who called him papaw survived.

Memorial services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, (July 28,2020) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Adam Miller will be officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. to service time on Tuesday.

The family request in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Dermitt Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
