Jerry M. Phelps, 69, of 114 Knots Landing, Macon, Georgia, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013. Services will be held on Saturday, February 9, 2013 at 11:00AM in the Chapel of Dermitt Funeral Home, Leitchfield, Kentucky, with Brother Lealin Geary officiating. Burial will be at Welch's Creek Baptist Church in Leitchfield. The family will greet friends on Friday from 9:00AM until 8:00PM at Dermitt Funeral Home.

Mr. Phelps was a devoted father, husband and brother. He was the son of the late Reverend Lawrence and Velma Toms Phelps and was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Vendon Phelps, Glendon Phelps, Laymond Phelps, Sue Steff and Veda Fay Sallings.

Mr. Phelps is survived by his wife, Linda; his children, Jerry "Moe" Phelps, Jr., Georgia (Tony) Ray, and Larry (April) Phelps; his grandchildren, Rachael (Chris) Granade, Sarah Ray, Jordan Ray, Autumn Phelps, Hailey Phelps, Savanna Phelps, Dustyn Reeves, and Raychel Alford; great-grandchildren, Peyton and Brody; sisters, Gaye (Eddie) McCoy, Una (Roger) Kennedy, Ann (Earl) Penner and Ovanna Hardy; brothers-in-law, Charles Steff and Shedrick "Buster" Sallings; sisters-in-law, Joyce Phelps and Anita Phelps, and a host of other friends and family members.
