Obituary
Jewel Helen West, age 72, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Saturday, (July 5, 2014) at the Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY.
She was born on November 26, 1941 in Grayson Co, KY, the daughter of the late John and Della Mae Harp Saltsman.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed puzzles, watching TV, flowers and birds.
She is survived by three sons, Johnny Ray Haycraft (Beverly) of Clarkson, James E Haycraft (Karen) of Upton KY and Terry Haycraft (Debora) of Leitchfield, two grandchildren, Johnny Leon Haycraft (Destiny) and Leslie Cubbage (Walter), four great-grandchildren, one brother, James Saltsman (Louise), two sisters, Hazel Saltsman (Nathan) and Pauline Newton all of Leitchfield and several nieces and nephews.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert West and three sisters, Sarah Newton, Dolly Wilson and Annie Haycraft.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, (July 8, 2014) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Billy Mason will be officiating. Burial will be in the Saltsman Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until time of services.
