Jimmie Farris, age 83, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Tuesday, (January 25, 2022) at his daughter's home.

He was born on January 24, 1939 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late Tim and Florence Cook Farris.

He served in the United States Army from 1957 to 1964 and was retired from the Carpenter's Union where he worked in bridge construction. He was an avid outdoorsman that loved to fish, hunt, and just loved being in the woods.

He is survived by his daughters, Jennifer Carmine (Chris) and Chrissy White (Wayne); three grandchildren, GaRhett Carmine (Emma), Kennedy Hayes (Colt) and Shaina Sallee (Joey); three great-grandchildren, Kenzi & Eva Jacks Carmine, and Kyler Sallee; and one brother, Walter Farris.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers; Jessie, Raymond, Russell & Shirley Farris; and one sister, Aline Seaton.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (January 29, 2022) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the South Union Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
