Jimmy Baxter, age 46 of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (February 25, 2015) in Leitchfield, KY.
He was born on March 30, 1968 in Hardin County, KY, the son of Edward "Danny" and Frances Ann Cook Baxter.
He was a lifelong resident of Grayson County KY; a construction worker, who enjoyed wheeling and dealing and repairing cars and was an avid Kentucky basketball fan and a member of the Sons of the American Legion Post 81.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Mercer Baxter, his mother, Frances Ann Baxter; four daughters, Danielle and Christey Baxter, of Leitchfield, KY, Taletha Kerr (Anthony) of Shepherdsville KY, and Elisha Rusher of Falls of Rough, KY; one son, James Baxter of Leitchfield; six grandchildren, Isaac Baxter, Austen Gilbert, Peyton Kerr, Ryleigh, Braxton and Kynleigh Rusher, one sister, Sherry Pannell (Donnie) of Leitchfield and one brother, Jerry Baxter (Debbie) of Big Clifty KY; four nieces and nephews, Mike (Kayla) and Steve Williams, Heather Decker (Aaron) and Brent Baxter, a great nephew, a great niece, and several aunts and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Baxter.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Monday, (March 2, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home. Bro. Johnny Embry will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Vernon cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday, from 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday and from 9:00 a.m. Monday until time of services.
