James Dale (Jimmy) Steff, age 66, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Tuesday (March 10, 2009) at his residence.
He was born on March 3,1943 in Caneyville, KY, the son of Charles Bueford and Edith Young Steff. He was a farmer and a heavy equipment operator for the State Highway Department.
He was a member of the New Hope Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Barbara Edwards Steff of Caneyville, one son Dale and Michelle of Glasgow, one daughter Jayme and Tom Golias of Mokena, Illinois, five grandchildren Madison, Jordan, and Logan Steff, Tyler Sipes, and Nicholas Golias and one great granddaughter, Jaycee Elizabeth Wallin. He was preceded in death by one brother Charles Steff, two sisters Kathleen Woosley and Lena Rose Steff.
Funeral services will be Friday March 13, 2008 at 1:00 P.M. at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Caneyville with Rev. Buddy Brooks officiating. Burial is in the New Hope Cemetery.

Caneyville from 1:00 – 9:00 Thursday and after 9:00 A.M. Friday until time for services.
