John "David" Allen, age 42, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Monday, (September 4, 2023) at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, KY.

He was born on December 24, 1980 in Louisville, KY, the son of Tommy Gene and Karen Lee Lacefield Allen.

He was a technician at a body shop who enjoyed fishing, old classic cars, and working on cars.

He is survived by his son, John David Allen Jr.; sisters, Jennifer Allen, Angela Dodd and Brooke Allen; four nieces, Bryanna and Whitney Allen and Kayla and Shelby Dodd; two great-nieces, Vivian and Isabelle Garlinger. Several aunts and uncles also survive.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Vivian Mae Fuller and James Woodrow Allen: maternal grandparents, Earl and Era Richards Lacefield.

Private services will be held. Burial will be in Layman Memorial Cemetery.
