Obituary
John William Roeder, age 68, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Tuesday, (December 10, 2013) at his residence.
He was born on April 6, 1945 in Centertown, KY, the son of the late Ellis and Alma Patton Roeder.
He was a coal miner, who enjoyed music, playing pool and fishing, a US Army Veteran, a commander of the Falls of Rough American Legion post 213 and a member of the Short Creek Masonic Lodge.
He is survived by his life partner, Cinda Allen, of Falls of Rough, his daughter, Kim Stinnett of Bowling Green, KY, a granddaughter, Juliette Stinnett of Owensboro KY and a grandson, Jace Stinnett of Bowling Green.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, (December 15, 2013) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Roger Allen will be officiating. Burial will be in the Central Grove Baptist Cemetery in Centertown, KY with military graveside honors.
There will be a masonic service at 12:30 Sunday at the funeral home by the Short Creek Masonic Lodge.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
Expressions of sympathy can take the form of donations to assist with final expenses.
