John Lillian White, age 78, of Leitchfield, KY, peacefully passed away Saturday, (October 5, 2013) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield KY.

She was born on August 1, 1935, in Clarkson, KY, the daughter of the late John and Laura Hazelwood Hultz.

She was a homemaker, who was a very social person, and loved to talk to people. She was very religious and prayed constantly. She enjoyed working with many charities, and helping others. She retired from the Leitchfield Post Office as a front desk clerk after 16 years of service. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church.


She is survived by her husband of sixty years, Charles Hubert White; three daughters, Joyce Johnson (Edward), Veronica Gibson (Henry Basham), and Laura Hughes (Greg); four sons, John White (Wendy), Charlie White (Kelli), Kerry White (Victoria), and Michael White; twelve grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Jane White, and several brothers, and sisters.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, (October 8, 2013) at the St. Augustine Catholic Church. Rev. Brian Johnson will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Augustine Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday and from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday until 10:30a.m. at the funeral home. The service will follow at the church.

A prayer service will be held at 6:00p.m. Monday night at the funeral home.
