Johnnie Richard Hayes, age 59, of Caneyville, KY, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in Rosine, KY.

He was born on August 8, 1959 in Louisville KY, the son of the late Cordis Lee and Martha Ann Duncan Hayes.

He was a retired farmer who enjoyed horse-back riding, 4-wheeling, riding his motorcycle, hunting, and raising chickens. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his six daughters, Jacqueline Francine Hirsch (John), of Meade County, Jessica Kassinger of Beaver Dam, Amanda Garlinger (Sammy) of Breckinridge County, Amy Hayes of Madisonville, Cathy Hayes of Madisonville, and Megan Groves (Remington) of Graham, KY; ten grandchildren; one sister, Kay Johnson, and three brothers, Reno, Phillip, and Butch Hayes.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandson, Xavier Hayes; three brothers and three sisters, Kenny, Bob, Charles, Janie, Mary, and Linda.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, (January 20, 2019) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. John McGinnis will be officiating. Burial will be in the Yeaman Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until service time on Sunday.
