Johnnie Ed Tabor, age 68 , of, Leitchfield, KY, passed away Sunday, (May 8, 2022) at his residence.

He was born on March 28, 1954 in Murfreesboro, TN, the son of the late Jesse and Alma Wifṻr Tabor.

He was a retired firefighter for the Ft. Knox Fire Department, serving 31 years prior to his retirement. He enjoyed mowing, watching television and spending time with family and friends. He was a United States Army and Navy Veteran. He was a member of the Hanging Rock Missionary Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Patricia Stewart Tabor; sons, Matthew Tabor of Bowling Green, KY and John Tabor of Brownsville, KY;  grandchild, Chandler Tabor; brothers, William and Troy; sisters, Josephine, Juanita, Georgia, Sonja, Ramona and Rebecca. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (May 14, 2022) at the Hanging Rock Missionary Baptist Church. Bro. Daniel Dennis will be officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Friday and at the Hanging Rock Missionary Baptist Church from 12:00 p.m. Saturday until time of services.
