Johnny Dale Haycraft, age 76, of Clarkson, passed away Sunday, (September 21, 2025) at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on June 1, 1949 in Grayson County, KY, the son of the late  Sherman Haycraft and Louise Downs.

He was a hardworking man who gave his best in all that he did. At the age of 41, he was saved at Antioch and later became a member of Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. On May 27, 1969, he married the love of his life, Judy. He cherished his family and nothing brought him more joy than being a "Papaw" to his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Judy Logsdon Haycraft; children, Jonathan Haycraft (Wendy) of Clarkson, Joann Kerr of Leitchfield, and Jarrod Haycraft (Tina) of Leitchfield; grandchildren, Alison Henning (David), Devin Kerr, Kendra Decker (Jared), Kala Lopez (Brandon), Kristen Kerr (Jake), Amber Haycraft, Ty Haycraft (Caitlin) and Ryan Haycraft; nine great-grandchildren; and one brother, Darrell Haycraft of Louisville. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant grandson, Kurt Haycraft, an infant brother, Donnie Haycraft and a sister, Bonnetta Childress.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, (September 26, 2025) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jason Alexander and Bro. Blake Newton will be officiating. Burial will be in the Lile Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
