Jonathan Sanders, age 34, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Tuesday, (August 22, 2017) at the University of Louisville Hospital.
He was born on December 13, 1982 in Leitchfield, KY, the son of Rex Sanders and Penny White Newton.
He was a supervisor at Frontier, who enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, hunting, and spending time with his family. He was a member of Mill Street Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Natalie Cooper Sanders of Clarkson; a daughter, Shelbie Ann Sanders and a son, Jonathan Parker Sanders, both of Clarkson; a brother, Travis Sanders of Leitchfield; his father, Rex Sanders Jr. of Clarkson; his mother, Penny Newton (Paul) of Leitchfield; a step-brother, Blake Newton (Laura); a step-sister, Brooke Jaggers (Brandon); his maternal grandmother, Sue White of Leitchfield; three aunts, Donna Sue Brown (Thomas) of Shelbyville, KY, Cindy Hill (Tobey) and Robin McGrew (Gary) both of Leitchfield; and an uncle, Tommy White (Pam) of Leitchfield. Several nieces, nephews, and cousins also survive.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Rex Sanders, Sr; his maternal grandfather, Clay Thomas White; paternal grandmother, Theresa Evanell Higdon; and two aunts, Wanda Sanders and Kay Ashley.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, (August 27, 2017) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Mike Hardin will be officiating. Burial will be in the St. Anthony Cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Saturday and from 9:00 a.m. Sunday until time of services.
