Jonathon "Jon" Michael James, age 31, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at his residence in Leitchfield, KY.

He was born on September 20, 1985 in Springfield, OH to Carole Lee and Robin James.

Jon was saved on April 1, 1995, when he was 9 years old, at Grace Missionary Baptist church and was currently a member at Charity Missionary Baptist Church in Shepherdsville, KY. He was a production operator at the Walter T. Kelley Bee Hive Factory in Clarkson, KY. He enjoyed being outdoors, spending time with his kids, and making everyone laugh.

He is survived by his parents, Roy and Carole Lee of Leitchfield, KY, and Robin James of Columbus, OH; three children, Bryan, Kelsey, and Addyson James of Leitchfield, KY; one brother, Ryan and Erica James, nephews, Elijah and Kellen, and niece, Chloe, all of Olathe, KS.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield on January 20, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, January 21, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Wilson United Baptist Church, 156 Higgs Road in Caneyville, KY. Bro. Adam Huddleston will be officiating. Visitation on Saturday will be at the church beginning at 11:00 a.m.
