JoNell Acton Goff, age 81, of Millwood, KY, passed away Saturday, (November 20, 2010) at the Sacred Heart Hospital in Pensacola, FL.

She was born on September 4, 1929, in Ohio County, KY, the daughter of the late A. C. and Louva Belle Miller Acton. She was a graduate of WKU and was an Extention Agent in Hancock and Grayson County before teaching school in the Grayson County School System, first in Caneyville and then becoming the home economics teacher and department head. In her last years she ran the food service department before retiring. She was a member of the Kentucky Retired Teacher Association and was a member of the Leitchfield First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Glen H. Goff, a daughter, Glenda Jo Goff of Leitchfield, a son, Carl Goff (Brenda) of Millwood, one granddaughter, Carla Jo Glutting (Adam), two great grandchildren, Jackson and Carlee Mae Glutting, two nephews and one niece, Kim (Linda) Acton of Louisville and Mark Acton of Washington DC and Bridgett Acton and a sister-in-law, Reggie Acton. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Auburn Acton.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday (November 27, 2010) at the Leitchfield First Baptist Church. Bro. Dave Martin will be officiating. Burial will be in the Kelly Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
