Obituary
Joseph (Joe) Andrew Bowman Jr, age 81, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (December 10, 2011) at the University of Louisville Hospital.
He was born on April 22, 1930, in Raywick, KY, the son of the late Joseph Andrew and Catherine Cheshire Bowman. He was a farmer and a member of the Clearview Baptist Church and also attended the Liberty Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Claudia Bowman of Leitchfield, one son Danny Bowman (Yanling) of Louisville, one step-daughter, Linda Baker (Bob) of IN, three step-sons, CE Glasscock Jr (Tammy) of Shepherdsville, Terry Glasscock (Debbie) and Kenny Glasscock (Diana) both of Leitchfield, three grandchildren, and three great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by one step-son, Everett Joseph Bowman and one sister, Mary Alice Thompson.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday (December 14, 2011) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro Chester Shartzer will be officiating. Burial will be in the Sanders Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday. (December 13, 2011)
