Joseph N "Tex" Bartley, age 76, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Thursday, (February 14, 2008) at the Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.

He was born on February 19, 1931, in Texas, the son of Robert P and Laura (Barton) Bartley. He was a retired from General Electric.

He is survived by his wife, Helen M (Wilson) Bartley, one son, Robert Bartley of Florida, one daughter, Betty Jo Bartley of Florida, two grandchildren, Kyle and Corey Bartley, one brother, James Bartley (Sue) of Kansas, one sister, Sue Saunders of Ohio, four step-children, Patricia Schoer, Terry E., Jeffrey C. and Gregory Patterson all of Louisville. He was preceded in death by one brother, Willie Bartley and one step-son, Larry Patterson.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday (February 16, 2008) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Burial will be in the Duff Cemetery.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Friday and from 9:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.
