Obituary
Joseph Carlton Clemons, age 79, of Clarkson, KY, passed away Wednesday, (July 6, 2016) at the V.A. Medical Center in Louisville, KY.
He was born on February 12, 1937, in Grayson County, KY, son of the late Dillard and Maude Ellen Sims Clemons.
He was a member of St. Anthony Church in Peonia, KY.
He is survived by his wife Betty, one daughter, Carol Jo Kerr (Danny); three sons, Joseph Carlton Clemons II (Angie), David Clemons and Jeremy Clemons, all of Clarkson; eight grandchildren Brent Kerr (Ivy), Shana Ashby (Matt), Jarrod, Cody (Tiffany), Noah, JoJo, Tashia, and Justin Clemons, all of Clarkson; three great-grandchildren, four sisters, Janice Milliner, Agnes Crabtree, Garnetta VanMeter, and Diana Lush; two brothers, Hubert, and John Larry Clemons; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Pat, Stanley, Leonard, and Harold Clemons, and sisters, JoAnn Hill, and Virginia Powell
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, (July 11, 2016) at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Rev. Babu Kulathumkal will be officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, and at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. on Monday, until time of services at the church. Prayer service will be at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday
