Joseph W. Keown, age 48, of Big Clifty, KY, passed away Tuesday, (September 1, 2015) at his home.

He was born on October 10, 1966 in Grayson County, KY, the son of Dee and Caroline (Peg) Cain Keown.

He was a truck driver for Inline Transportation. He enjoyed drag racing, tractor pulls, and riding horses.

He is survived by his wife, Brittany Hollin Keown of Big Clifty; his four children, Sabrina (Caleb) Langley, Brittany (Will) Johnson, Wyatt Keown, and Bentley Keown; two step-children, Jaden Anderson, and Timothy Levering; his parents, Dee and Peg Keown; two brothers, Timothy (Lisa) Keown, and Jeremy (Laura) Keown; two sisters, Crystal (Bob) Hodges and Stacey (Jim) Findley; three grandchildren, Braiden Johnson, Payton, and Leighton Langley; his grandparents, Pete Cain and the late Juanita Cain; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, (September 4, 2015) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Jimmy Sutton will be officiating. Burial will be in the Clarkson Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 12:00 p.m. (noon) to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
