Joseph “Joe” Junior McCoy, age 88, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Saturday, (July 18, 2026) at his home.

A retired auto mechanic, Joe was born on October 14, 1937 in Vine Grove, KY, the son of the late Marshall and Agnes Laverne Spalding McCoy.

He is survived by his brothers, Ronnie McCoy (Donna) of Elizabethtown, KY & Wayne McCoy (Linda) of Vine Grove, KY; a sister-in-law, Margaret McCoy of Vine Grove; four nephews, Jeff McCoy, Philip McCoy, Todd Bratcher & Frank Holmes; and three nieces, Amy Faulkner, Rhonda Hayes & Amanda McCoy. Several great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margaret Holmes; a brother, Donnie Lee McCoy and a nephew, Troy Bratcher.

In keeping with his wishes, cremation was chosen.
