Joyce Kay Godbey, age 73, of Falls of Rough, KY, passed away Tuesday, (August 4, 2015) at her residence in Falls of Rough.
She was born on August 8, 1941 in Constantine, Michigan, the daughter of the late Russell and Jewel Kindy Luke.
She worked as a cosmetologist, and also was employed by Wal-Mart. She enjoyed making crafts and charity work. She worked at the Leitchfield United Methodist Church Thrift Store, and made bracelets in support of the fight against autism. Joyce was a member of the Leitchfield United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her husband, John Godbey of Falls of Rough; three daughters, Raeanne Long and Catherine Weck both of Waterloo, Indiana, and Debra Moughler of Butler, Indiana; two sisters, Jane Luke of Goshen, Indiana, and Janet Strycker of Phoenix, Arizona; brother, John Luke of Phoenix, Arizona; six grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial Services will be at 11:30 a.m. EST on Sunday, (August 9, 2015) at Keystone Point Subdivision, 1903 Keystone Drive, Goshen, Indiana.
A Memorial Service will also be held at the Leitchfield United Methodist Church, Leitchfield, KY on Tuesday (August 11, 2015) at 1:00 p.m. CST with Bro. Dave Harting officiating. Cremation was chosen.
Visitation will be at the Leitchfield United Methodist Church beginning at 12:00 p.m. Tuesday until time of services.
Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield will be in charge of the local arrangements.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
