Juanita Kiper, age 73, of Leitchfield, KY, passed away Wednesday, (September 15, 2010) at the Springview Nursing and Rehab in Leitchfield, KY.

She was born on March 29, 1937, in Leitchfield, KY, the daughter of the late Delmer and Sylvia Givens Mercer. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Leitchfield First Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Robert of Lexington, KY, and Edward Kiper (Tina) of Leitchfield, three grandchildren, Stephanie Embry of Caneyville and Josh and Kevin Kiper both of Lexington, two great grandchildren, Kaylee and Brodie Embry both of Caneyville, two brothers, Charles and Herman Mercer both of Leitchfield, one sister, Sharon Kay Alvey of Elizabethtown KY. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ova Kiper and two brothers, Bud and Sherman Mercer.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Friday (September 17, 2010) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Bro. Ricky Armstrong will be officiating. Burial will be in the Leitchfield Memory Gardens.

Friends may call at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Thursday and from 9:00 a.m. Friday until time of services.
