Justin Scott Ford, age 30, of Louisville, KY, passed away Saturday, (July 30, 2022) at his home.

He was born on September 06, 1991 in Louisville, KY, the son of Scott Ford and Tammy Price Ford.

He was a heavy machinery operator who enjoyed skateboarding, riding jet skis, fishing and spending time with his family. Justin was a passionate advocate for recovery and sobriety, and was often called to speak to groups about the impact that clean living could have on their lives. He was a member of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his life partner, Amanda Mattingly of Louisville; a son, Tyson; a step-son, Levi, both of Louisville; a sister, Amber Ford of Leitchfield; a niece, Zoey Glasscock; three uncles, Robert Ford of North Carolina, Troy Price and Jesse Mattingly, both of Louisville; an aunt, Denise Mattingly, also of Louisville; his father, Scott Ford of Leitchfield; his mother, Tammy Ford and step dad Wilfried Carl Kaelin of Caneyville; a paternal grandmother, Linda Ford of Leitchfield; and a maternal grandmother, Marcia Goff of Louisville. Several cousins and close friends also survive.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Mike Ford, and a maternal grandfather Walter Ray Price.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, (August 06, 2022) at the Dermitt Funeral Home in Leitchfield. Robert Ford will be officiating. Burial will be in the New Hope Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the Dermitt Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. Saturday until time of services.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Dermitt Funeral Home to assist with final expenses.
